Project:
This project required a large amount of planning with the client before starting to ensure the correct size, shape and design were achieved. In total the project measured over 100m2 of new decking to be installed.
Once a final plan was agreed our team set about removing the old tired decking, steps and crumbling terrace walls.
Once the clearance was completed we set about building the new large deck.
This included the extension from the existing patio to create more space under the veranda. Entire new frame work across the rear of the house to create the split level decking down onto the lawn area.
New steps were constructed from the front of the deck down to the lawn area to create better access. A second set of steps with built in planters (to soften the edges of the deck) were built at the opposite end of the deck to gain access to the garage.
The client chose the Millboard Enhance Grain decking on this project due to the high quality of the product and low maintenance required on such a large area.
Additional features such as a wood store, waterproof storage unit and LED lighting were all added as the project progressed.
Finally the composite balustrade was added to make the terrace safe and secure and add the final feature to the project.
This deck really enhances the property and provides an excellent out-side dining and entertaining area for the clients large family.
