The Borough of Haringey in north London is just one of the areas in London and the south-east of England that we service. We supply and fit both softwood and hardwood timber decking, and have been doing so since our business was established in 1997. We have 17 years of experience in designing and building decking in the Haringey area, so you can rest assured that our services will surpass your expectations. There are two main types of decking that you can opt for when deciding what type of timber you want to use, either softwood or hardwood timber decking. Softwood decking is sourced from european coniferous trees and tends to be cheaper than hardwood timber decking as it is faster growing. One aspect to bare in mind is that softwood timber needs to be sealed on an annual basis with teak oil or a similar product to make sure the timber is rot and mould resistant. The other option is to opt for hardwood timber decking, which is sourced from three main continents: Asia, Africa and South America. Here at the London Decking Company we specialise in the use of Ipe, Balau, Iroko and Garrapa wood. The beauty of these woods is that they are all certified to say they have been sourced sustainably, as well as having a stunning honey-brown hue.
