To give you some inspiration, here are a few decoration ideas to help inspire you and get your creative juices flowing at this festive time of year.
Get Natural: ‘The Holly and the Ivy’ isn’t just a classic carol. Use your own
garden foliage to decorate your outdoor spaces. Whether this means incorporating home grown holly into your wreath or spraying strings of ivy silver and gold to drape around your front door and garden furniture, there is a lot your can do with resources you already have.
Catch Santa’s Eye: ‘Santa Stop Here’ signs are always popular with kids and are great fun to make. Get the kids painting their own signs, before laminating them and attaching them to lengths of bamboo. They can then be stood in the garden during advent. Laminating the signs gives them more of a chance of surviving the great British winter! Alternatively, you can purchase these signs from most garden centres at this time of year.
Light it Up: Which home is complete without sparkly lights outside? Whether you opt for icicle lights, net lights that cover a tree or shrub, or light up figures, all contributions help to make your garden fun and festive.
